Miami Swim Week at The Shore Club Hotel
Miami Swim Week at The Shore Club Hotel
Hot, sweaty, and sexy— Miami Swim Weekend is now a blur of bikinis, brunches, and that song, Feels, off the new Calvin Harris album that played in almost every runway show. One aspect of our trip stands out over everything else, our stay at The Shore Hotel.
Checking into The Shore Hotel, a boutique oceanside resort in Miami’s South Beach, the LEFAIR Magazine team was greeted with delicious chocolate covered strawberries and bottles of champagne. After researching hotels in South Beach for weeks, we knew we wanted to experience the chill, beachy vibe of The Shore Club. There is a fun contrasting décor theme at The Shore Club with a minimal and modern, fresh, sleek white interior and an eclectic and exotic exterior with Chinese lanterns, a Koi pond, and lounging beds with colorful pillows and gold trimmed frames that looked like they may be reserved for a Sultan.
Simply, The Shore Club is a party on the outside, with a DJ mixing until 2AM on weekends, and a peaceful place to rest on the inside. Designed by British modernist, David Chipperfield, the landmarked Art Deco hotel lobby flows seamlessly from indoor to outdoor spaces, featuring a luxurious playground of labyrinthine gardens and decor inspired by Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech.
The hotel features sweeping beach views, a rooftop spa, two pools, a restaurant offering breakfast and lunch both indoors and on the terrace, and beach access. One of the best parts of our stay at The Shore Club was the proximity to the Miami Swim Week tents, located just a few blocks away from the hotel on Collins Avenue. We highly recommend staying at The Shore Club, whether you’re visiting for Miami Swim Week or looking to experience all that South Beach has to offer. Shore Club is located just steps from the shopping of the Art Deco District, Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road, South Beach nightlife and Espanola Way.
South Beach is a major destination for shopping and there is no shopping street as iconic as Lincoln Road. This outdoor pedestrian mall runs east to west through the center of South Beach. Look for high-end boutiques like Alchemist and Intermix and recognizable brands like Forever 21. Running perpendicular to Lincoln and close to the ocean are Collins Avenue and Washington Avenue. Collins is home to Urban Outfitters and Sephora. Washington has Diesel and surf shops.
Check out LEFAIR Magazine’s favorite spots, all within walking distance from The Shore Club— Kith, multifunctional retailer and progressive brand with the freshest streetwear and Bâoli Miami, an Asian fusion restaurant in a clubby, dynamic setting with a garden patio. We recommend cooling off with their Chandon over ice and fresh strawberries. If you want to stay in, there’s plenty of nightlife at the The Shore Club. Guests have multiple options to explore within the hotel: Skybar, set amidst tropical gardens and pulses with the electricity of Miami nightlife and Terrazza, a casual, Italian restaurant offering the ultimate in indoor/outdoor dining in a distinct South Florida setting.
